The Parish Council meets on a scheduled basis and at other times as may be necessary, either as a full council or as designated sub-group.
- ‘Ordinary’ meetings of the Parish Council usually take place bi-monthly on odd numbered months. At present, this is usually on a Wednesday.
- There is an Annual Meeting of the Parish Council in May of each year. (This is separate from the Annual Parish Meeting.)
- Extra-ordinary meetings of the Council may be convened from time to time.
- In addition, there are committees and working parties of the Council which meet to undertake responsibility for specific areas, including:
- Planning Applications and associated matters
- Conservation and Nature
- Footpaths
- Finance and budgetary matters

- A printed copy Agenda is also placed on notice boards within West Hatch (Lower West Hatch, Meare Green, Slough Green).

This meeting will start at the earlier time of 7pm as there will be a discussion with Forestry England representatives regarding the recent felling operations at Thurlbear Woods.
If you have any questions that you wish to put to Forestry England, please submit them to the Parish Council Chairman at keith.read44@gmail.com who will be asking the questions on behalf of parishioners.
The next Parish Council meeting takes place on Wednesday 28th September at West Hatch Village Hall commencing at 7.30pm.
At the start of the meeting there will be a presentation from a representative of Airband, the company that will be arranging superfast Broadband to the Parish, so please come along and hear about their plans and progress.
The March Ordinary Parish Council Meeting will follow the Annual Parish Meeting on Thursday 31st March
